For example, say you've got a helpless n00b session and the leader keeps asking for help, would it be acceptable to just make a singular "Hey this thread is my obligatory 'help my native session is a MESS' newbie thread" and try to keep everyone updated IC in one thread or is it prefered to make new topics as I see fit or what?
I could also understand having a bunch of different aspect threads but one specific thread per session of session related help because whoops sessions tend to have interlocking glitches and issues?
idk I'm confused. I'll just reiterate my first question in this paragraph.

As a general rule, I'd say make as many threads as you want so long as you're comfortable making them! While I'd refrain from making a thread that's very similar to something somebody else has made (eg. if someone has made a thread for Rain player stories, post in that thread rather than making another thread for the same purpose), this site is incredible new and as such there's lots of room to be making new things.
In relation to your character's n00b questions: having a single thread for all of your characters questions rather than making a different one for each question is a good course of action, because it'll be a lot easier for you to keep track of and will be a lot more likely to be long lasting - rather than a question per thread, which would be over the moment the question was answered. However, if there are any specific questions which you think would create larger amounts of discussion (such as "How do I use this aspect?" or "What's your favourite consort, because mine all suck?") then you should feel free to go ahead and make a thread for that!
