[ASPECT] fate help pls

Fate's a pretty straightforward aspect that cuts out the middleman and just tells you what to do instinctually, like part of Light but without getting to pick your goals and making all variables love you yourself, Fate does that without you bothering to ask. The problem is that it is pretty much the opposite of Mind, meaning that your free will is even more not a thing than Sburb usually does. Like seriously if the Faith says do something you do it and if you don't if it doesn't cause a doomed timeline something bad happens usually beyond a hit to your ARC for not cooperating with your swirly overlord of the season.

As usual with Sburb's insane messes, when you are given what it wants, it's following through that's the hard part, just throw yourself into it.

I could give better help if I knew your cla- oh wait profiles cool. So you're a Dame, and a Dame again. You know how daming works, you're the warrior who doesn't die if that's possible at all, good. With Fate, that means you more or less get a discount pass to not permadying if you follow along and the session is more or less stable, which gives you plenty of room for creativity when the aspect isn't tossing 'do x to not die' at you.

Fun stuff: arrows. Arrows everywhere. Fate is the aspect of follow-the-plan and ARROWS EVERYWHERE. They're supposed to be pointing your way or whatever but they can be used for so much. You can freestyle sniping tricks relatively fast and start mowing down your foes with arrows from fingerguns, arrows from your face ([ NO U GICLOPS ] is glorious for killing underlings with annoyed looks and interrupting what they're doing), arrows from nowhere Gate of Babylon style, the arrows never end. Since you use a meleekind you can more or less rely on your aspect for ranged firepower once it gets good if you don't want to go down the lasercannon spear shtick.

Need a temporary shield? MAKE IT OF FLOATING ARROWS. Want to play Dance Dance Revolution? DO IT WITH FATE ARROWS. Need to figure out whatever the hell you're doing? ARROW IS YOUR GUUUIIIIIDE! Need to point out to someone what they're doing? DO IT WITH ARROWS. Want to kill an imp at however many paces from the other side of a valley? DO IT WITH ARROWS. Want to bridge over something for a moment to do what you must? DO IT WITH ARROWS. Want to impersonate Undyne? DO IT WITH ARROWS. Need to render a plan so other people can follow it? DO IT WITH ARROWS. The applications never end Fate is actually incredibly plastic about what you can do with those things because it needs you to do a lot of stuff.

The direct manifestation of Fate is a lot less deadly when it's not being used to kill [noun]s, and if you put more emphasis on the [ guidance to a certain path ] aspect of the aspect that's sorta lighty rather than [ MAKE THIS DIE ] aspect that's sorta breathy you can kind of direct what kind of arrows the Faith is flinging for you. Arrow Flying Carpet is best early flying freestyle. Arrows you can ride are different from arrows you shoot things with because they're way less sharp-edged when you feel them with your aspect-sense, more like pointers in modeling programs or transparent pathway indicators than 'thing that just got propelled out of nowhere at an appreciably lethal velocity'.

Ofc if the Faith is pissed it might try and cut you so yeah probably not a good idea to overrely on that
