Mica's heart was still pounding with adrenaline from his narrow brush with permadeath as he pushed his way through the barrier that had kept Fred from bursting in and whisking him away to safety. This had been the most terrifying day of his life. But now...
He inhaled sharply as he caught sight of Fred--his real body, not the small, humanoid one he'd so often used to visit with Mica in the bubbles. It hadn't actually been very long since he'd seen this, when he'd gone to drop off the staff FC had made for him, but he'd been on the other side of the barrier then, knowing that he couldn't touch him or even look at him too long if he wanted to avoid corruption. Now, though...
"So, um..." he said, fidgeting a bit, suddenly feeling self-conscious of his new pastel pink godtier outfit. "W-what now?"

"I guess you two get out of here." AC interrupted, a small bird-like drone having floated over, then away. "I'll stay back and watch the fireworks."
"Probably a good idea." you say, a sort of gentle blurring of voices approximating normal language properly rather than natural broodfester from any which mouth(s), and extend a tentacle at a respectful distance. "I, uh...It'd be a few years back perceptively, so do you mind if I corrupt you for travelsleep, or..."
You blush with nervousness, shifting your natural darkness to a slightly more purple hue, but thankfully most of it stays out of the directly visible spectrum.

Mica shivered a bit at how inhuman that voice sounded. Honestly, this was probably such a crazy thing to do, but...
"Originally, I was... I was gonna outline a proper Deal for this with a bunch of clauses to make sure that you had to treat me right, just in case, but... I guess there's not really the time or the need for that anymore, so... I guess I'll just trust you." He looked shyly at Fred and swallowed nervously against the dryness in his throat.
"Being awake for all that void travel doesn't sound very fun, so, y-yeah, uh... Go ahead and d-do whatever you need to do to me," he said, holding his arms out slightly in invitation.

Tentacle met hand. You enabled your aura, washing over with corruptive influence and quickly pouring effort onto his soul, without overriding his will, drawing him just grimdark enough to do what you needed...
Well, maybe knocking him into transit slow as asked would be doable after all. Gently pulling him closer, you begun the distortion of spacetime to fling you through somewhere and when, dodging through unseen folds and waves at what to mortal minds would be years of piloting. Time is space and space is time, unfolded among itself. You were swimming through the vastness of the Ring, holding fast your prize against the auras of other Others, bubbles through liquid.
To one without a grip on Space, Time, and Void, it is incomprehensible madness. But to an eldritch creature? Home turf. You were small, but big enough to flow, and fly and swim.
To your conscious mind and him, years would be but a few relative moments of emptiness.
Anticlimactically, you were there. Like drifting out of warp, you pulled him back out of the realm of focus and light that was travel slow.
"We're here." You said with a note of exhaustion, gesturing to the linear spacetime of a bubble, releasing your grip on his soul and letting him back to normal in the teal glow of a bubble in fairly empty space, containing a Land-sized shifting mess of memories, centered upon a very real tower.

Mica's breath caught in his throat when Fred touched him, tentacles snaking around him to pull him in. Oh god, this was actually happening. Fred wasn't just some guy to chat with online and hang out with in the bubbles; he was a real, actual horrorterror, enormous and covered in eyes and maws and tentacles and oozing ichor, and Mica had just handed himself over to him for eternity. He trusted and cared about Fred, but there was no way to avoid the fact this was scary.
He was shaking a little as the corruptive aura flowed over him. He hadn't been able to really sense the corruption the first time, when it had been such a small amount built up over such a long time, but now he could definitely feel it in some indescribable way, hot and cold and prickly and soothing all at once. And then things got even darker, and his mind just sort of... stopped.
When he came to again, what seemed like only moments later, his body felt... strange, as was to be expected after years had passed physically, if not perceptively. That was a weird thing to think about. He shivered as the corruption was drawn back out of him, the grey receding from his skin. He moved his limbs experimentally, still feeling a bit strange in his own body, and looked around curiously. This was going to be his new home, after all. That was a pretty novel idea, having a home that would last for more than a few months. "So, uh... What's that tower?" he asked.

"A dwelling spire that got punted out of its incipisphere a while ago." you say. "I got it decayfreed and kept it here since it was just going to be disappear otherwise and realmatter's pretty useful. Story behind it's all sorts of strange, I think a Breath player killed a player-killer Witch with it Wizard of Oz style."

"Huh, that's pretty cool," Mica said, looking at the tower more closely. "I was kind of worried about living in a constantly shifting memory landscape... It'll be nice to have a stable home." He shifted, rubbing at his arm. "S-so, uh... Now what happens?" he asked in a small voice, turning back to look at Fred.

"It's pretty much up to you." he says. "I finally got clear of plans, so I guess we could just finally relax and...do whatever."

"Oh. Um, okay..." Mica said, looking around, feeling a bit lost. "I guess I should... get back online, let everyone know I'm okay? Um, do I need to do anything to get internet here, or does it connect automatically like in a session?" He uncaptchalogued the computer he'd taken from a dead coplayer, the only item he had on him besides the clothes on his back. "And, uh... Will I have like... a room in the tower or something? I'm gonna need a bunch of basic things for living here... Though I'm guessing if this used to be a human's dwelling spire that kind of stuff should already be here?"

"Mediumternet still works," you say with the usual wave motion denoting a shrug. " local Wi-Fi password for AC security and lan party connections on the living side is ohgodwaitwhat, all lowercase no spaces oh comes with an h, and deadternet is kevinwashere, all lowercase no spaces. , uh, before Lils died and rezzed she and Agness set up you a place on one of the unused sections, there's a good entry veranda visible from here as the one with the lavender flag on the side if you hate stairwells, utilities fully functional and complete with Sburban kichen and other necessity synthesizers too. Took a while to set up, kind of why LC doesn't deal in ringside players alive, but worth it."

Mica watched the tentacle movements Fred made as he talked--it was going to be a bit of a challenge, learning such a different type of body language. "Oh, alright, that all sounds perfect," he said, honestly a bit surprised; he hadn't been expecting things to be so well prepared for him. It made him feel a bit fuzzy, and it was definitely reassuring.
"Well, I can't really guarantee I'll be able to find the place if I go in from the inside, so I guess I'll fly up there?" Flight was almost as important as immortality in the list of reasons he'd wanted to godtier before coming here. He lifted up off the ground and made a beeline for the lavender flag Fred had pointed out, landing on the veranda and slowly opening the door to go inside.
It was really nice; years of Sburb had made this sort of thing a lot more underwhelming, but it definitely wasn't somewhere he would mind living. He started poking around the rooms while talking to Fred again. "So, um, can you still here me when I'm in here? Or see me?" he asked, unsure of just how much dominion the Other had over the bubble he was in. Once he found the bedroom, he sat down on the bed and opened up the computer so that he could reconnect.

"Hm?" You say, a servitor body floating in. "Sorry, awareness isn't perfect and my areasense isn't that good."
Servitor shrugging, you stand by in case you're wanted.

((Set a little while later))
Mica steps out onto the roof, looking a bit awkward, and still red-faced from the previous online conversation. Mica: So, uh Mica: What do we need to do? Fred: It's more on my end, I just want to be sure you don't mind the telepathic haze that's going to rush you for a second as your mind adjusts. Fred: Aaand I'm going to need to touch your soul-shiny compile. Mica: Okay. I don't mind. Fred extends a tentacle, touching Mica's forehead. Fred: Please don't resist, this may feel like Sound. Fred does something that there simply isn't words for, that can be summarized as putting something into the depths of the soul, a winding connection of a node of thought, something like wires of Sound magic and more things there are only terms for in broodfester. It tastes like concepts. It feels like music. It smells like thoughts and love and worry and emotions. It sounds like images, it looks like things that are profoundly unfathomable and yet make perfect sense lensed into foggy drops of thoughtbubbles, almost like the typing of an exile mixed with the whispers of the gods and aspects. All of this is condensed into something that connects across relevance. It is sloppily-but-not-irritatingly-so controlled telepathic, a mental lens into and around the mind of a titan squid. The colorful words of another train of thought to something that cannot be described crashes like a train into a wire and suddenly it begins to open and make sense. Fred: ...Is it coming across alright? Fred: oh circle did I mess up Mica: Oh Mica: Wow, that's Mica: Something Mica: So now we can talk telepathically? Fred: I...yeah, that was the core point. Fred: Try thinking but then giving it a direction, as if you were posting in some mental imageboard. It's sort of nonsensical intuition like abilities feel like. Mica: (telepathically) So... like this? Fred: (telepathically) Yeah, like this. Mica: Hehe, cool Mica: So, uh, you said specifically that telepathy was just the core point--are there other things? Fred: Oh, yeah, it also works on...emotional things. It's sort of hard to explain. Fred sends across something that comes across as an alien concept that immediately melts away into static before it resolves into a coherent thought, as if it had been redacted before it had been said. Fred: oh circle Mica I'm sorry that doesn't translate Mica: Umm Mica: That felt strange Mica: S-so, um... What about that stuff the others were talking about, that prompted the idea of doing this in the first place? Fred: (telepathically) I...I mean I'd like to do that but...I don't really know how to ask, I feel like I'm rushing things and you haven't felt anything in that direction and eegh. I think I'm just going to *a purple rose with the sense of something fragmenting* and mess up and...Ugh. I can hardly even get my thoughts lined up enough to send. Sorry. Mica goes redder, covering part of his face with a hand. Mica: (telepathically) Um, I mean... W-whatever it is you're having trouble wording... I--I think I'd probably be okay with it. Fred: (telepathically) Really? I...[the concept of partying accompanied by blue trumpets and waving fronds of beasts of the ring dressed for war] oh circle yes Fred does this sort of alien jumping-for-joy motion consisting of slightly floating up and down. Mica just stands there fidgeting slightly, looking flustered and unsure of what to do. Fred: (telepathically) So, uh...honestly, I feel we could at least thinkspeak our minds for once. Is there anything you've really wanted to say, but haven't had the opportunity for? Mica: (telepathically) U-um... I don't really know? I mean... I'm insanely grateful for everything you've done for me, I was pretty nervous about all this but you've been nothing but good to me... I really like you and I want to make you happy, as much as some silly little human can do for someone as immense and ancient as you. Fred reaches around with a tentacle with a mental indicator that 'this is approximating a hug' and sort-of tentacle-hugs him. Mica laughs, just slightly nervously, and does his best to return the hug. Fred: (telepathically) Heh, this really is nice...Mind if I switch focus to a servitor and we go to your room or something? I think some of the ghosts are getting curious. Mica: (telepathically) Um, sure, let's go. Fred as the giant squiddle loosens his grip and lets go, and a servitor-body hovers up from the side of the tower, waving. Fred: Over here! Mica waves back at Fred's servitor, and goes over to him so that they can take the floating down shortcut to his room. Fred: Hey, wait, who left this turtle-class drone behind the air conditioning? Mica: Huh?? Fred's servitor confusedly picks up the small turtle-shaped drone. Fred: AC what? AC: this unit is not active please leave a message Mica: AC, you've been watching us?? Fred: AC, wrong tagline. Were you watching us? AC: Um, yes. Mica: Why??? AC: EZ asked. Mica: Ugh! the AC drone flails awkwardly in place, causing Fred to facepalm. Mica: He was probably hoping to get video feed of Fred ravishing me on the spot or something AC: Not against seeing that. Fred makes a 'seriously dude no' face at the turtlebot. Mica: AC!!! Fred facepalms and chucks the turtlebot off the roof in disgust in hopes of getting a moment of privacy, where it lands on UG with a soft 'bonk'. Fred: Eegh, well, he's not going to be bothering us for a while. Mica: Jeez... Mica: So, uh, my room, right? Fred: Yeah, that'll do. Fred: Wonder how the chat's been progressing anyway. You feel up to doing anything? Mica: Um Mica: Sure Mica: Uh, have anything in mind? Fred: Welll... Fred's servitor looks uncomfortably at the Ring for a moment. Fred: Do you particularly mind if I just lie around with you for a few? I don't have anything planned for a while. Mica: Y-yeah, that's fine. ...Anything you want to do is fine. Mica: Lying around sounds nice. Fred: I mean...if you want to go further, just ask. Mica flushes and looks away embarrassedly and reaches out to take the servitor body's hand. Mica: L-let's just go, okay? I wanna see if they've been talking about us or anything. Fred: Alright. Let's fly! Fred laughs and begins to float down like a feather, taking Mica's hand in an attempt to get him to go along. Mica takes Fred's hand and in one of his and then clings to Fred's upper arm with the other as they float down to Mica's balcony. He goes to take up his laptop again and settle on his bed, looking uncertainly but expectantly back at Fred. Fred shrugs, decaptchalogues a laptop of his own, and joins Mica on the bed.
