((Brief OOC - This log takes place fright after the end of the "Another Session Beach Party" and will cover Ben's solo perspective until the end of the Another Session Campaign. Glass.
A piece of it slowly spins above your hand.
Glass.
Integral to the aspect of Dreams, but not in the way you had used it earlier.
Glass.
Eliza had never shown this level of power.
Glass.
What could it all mean?
-------------------------------------------------
Hearing a soft thump outside, Ben allowed the piece of glass to fall to the table. He calmly walked over to the front door of his dwelling spire. Looking out, he noticed another basilisk has fallen into his trap. Shortly after returning, he had eviscerated a trench around his dwelling to prevent underlings from bothering him when he wanted to relax. The thing worked really well, though all it seemed to catch were basilisks. And there were so many basilisks. Just thinking of the number made Ben shudder ever so slightly.
After wasting the creature, Ben walked back inside. 'I need to talk to Morpheus,' he thought. 'He'll be able to tell me about this new power.' Unfortunately, Morpheus was still asleep. Thankfully, Ben had been questing nearly non-stop since entering the Medium. (The exception being, of course, the beach party at Jenny's.) He had nearly completed the Song of His Land, and was making plans to wake Morpheus within the week.

Ben pulled out the Black Orpheus, his newest weapon in his strife deck. He wrapped his hands around the leather grip and tested the rebound on the valves. He opened the door, and saw a sight that he had, as of yet, never seen on his land.
It was a giclops.
He stared for a second at the sight of the beast, then leapt into action. He pushed the horn on his face and started playing. As each note came out, a corresponding effect appeared around the underling. Ab created a blast of fire from the horn, while Bb created a miniature storm above the creature's head, and so on and so forth, increasing in intensity the higher and louder he played.
Seeing that this wasn't overly effective, Ben booted up a fraymotif, [Filthy McNasty], and began improvising along with the beat. The effects of his horn increased in proficiency, and the giclops gristploded all over the front lawn.
Wonderful. Now he had a mess to clean up.
-------------------------------------------------
All he could see was white.
Empty, blank, white.
Ben sat in a chair by a warm fire, waiting for his blind spell to go away. They had increased in frequency over the course of this session, with him having one at least once a day.
Man they were annoying.
-------------------------------------------------
Ben reached into the chest at the center of the dark and smoky room and pulled out a captchalogue card, and a small opal necklace. Inscribed on the card was a single pale blue eighth note. He activated the card, and the note appeared in mist before him, then faded away. His strife deck glowed faintly, and Ben walked out of the crypt. Outside of the small chamber was a large antechamber, dimly lit with columns arching up into the dark roof. The room was devoid of life, as Ben had defeated the underlings which had inhabited it only moments earlier.
Ben gripped the small necklace he had retrieved from the chest, and strode forward. A stray basilisk slithered out from behind a column and reared up to attack, but Ben simply put his horn on his face, and blasted a note. The room shook slightly and dust fell from the ceiling, but the room remained standing. The basilisk, however, was not so fortunate, and the beast exploded in a shower of tar grist.
-------------------------------------------------
"You have my utmost thanks sir," the consort said, its black alligator mouth moving out of sync slightly with its words. "With this necklace, my daughter finally can blah blah blah blah..." The consort went on and on. Ben simply smiled, handed off the necklace and walked off. He felt a little different inside, and decided that it was time.
It was time to issue the Challenge.
