You take one more idle sip of the voidshake before captchaloguing it again, then draw your legs up onto the couch with you, curling in on yourself. You'd never really been much of a team player, preferring to do things yourself than rely on other unpredictable people. Was that all it took to prime you for corruption? Or did it stem more from your suggestibility? It wasn't exactly like you'd had Others whispering what they wanted you to do; the only one you'd been in contact with was HT, who seemed harmless. (Well, mostly, at least. You had recently been getting a vibe that his jokes about wanting to corrupt you for himself weren't entirely jokes anymore... But it wasn't like he had acted maliciously towards you in any way.)
"I'll... I'll be more careful from now on. For real this time," you mumble. "I'll make sure I spend time with someone else at least once a day." It would be a strain on your introverted little heart, but it was better than risking a relapse. You feel absolutely awful that you had let yourself get so far along, despite the abundance of warnings people had given you; you really were stupid and shortsighted.
